Hudson Valley – Cooling Centers

Stay cool during the high heat that continues through the week. Many areas will have cooling centers for emergencies. Look at our growing listing below and click here for more info.

Ulster County

If you do not have air conditioning in your home, seek public spaces that do – shopping centers, libraries, etc, according to a press release from Ulster County Emergency Management.

Additionally, the following locations will be open as cooling stations:

Family of Woodstock, 16 Rock City Road from 9:30 a.m to 9:30 p.m.
Town of Lloyd Town Hall, 12 Church St., Highland
Town of Wawarsing Town Hall, 108 Canal St., Ellenville, noon to 4 p.m. each day this week, except Wednesday when it will be open 2-4 p.m.
Rosendale Recreation Center, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ulster County Community Action, 70 Lindsley Ave., Kingston.


Orange County
